What makes our disc mulcher so Bad Ax? We’ve built in several unique features to make it last longer and perform better than anything else out there.

The Bad Ax comes standard with a 2-year warranty. Simply purchase a Bad Ax, and you’ll be automatically enrolled in a warranty that’s twice as long as most others are willing to offer.

The 60-inch-diameter, fully machined disc is 1.25 inches thick and made from premium-strength steel. It contains no welds, so there are no points subject to stress cracking.

The Bad Ax uses a recutter bar along with stationary counter teeth to hold material in place while it is being mulched. This unique design allows the Bad Ax to cut material into finer particles for faster decomposition and produce a nicer looking end product.

The Bad Ax was designed to be lightweight without sacrificing durability in order to maximize flotation of the skid steer or compact track loader. It’s also positioned close to the power unit for improved balance and stable operation.

It doesn’t get any easier to reverse or replace teeth. All you need to do is remove one hex bolt. Even more, the bolt-on mounts can be replaced in the field without the need for cutting, welding or rebalancing the rotor.

Nothing can drive a person crazy like unwinding debris from a bearing. That’s why Bad Ax uses a precise labyrinth ring design to help keep material from entering the bearing chamber.

Features may include:

• The radial piston high-pressure motor provides instant torque at start-up for fast recovery times. It requires 36-50 GPM up to 5000 PSI and 70-120 hydraulic horsepower.

• The Bad Ax can cut down trees up to 14 inches in diameter using a 60-inch diameter disc. The fully machined disc is 1.25 inches thick using premium-strength steel, and it contains no welds, so there are no points subject to stress cracking.

• The large Bad Ax disc builds up its own inertia during use, pushing its productive force beyond the maximum hydraulic horsepower. This helps it more quickly gather and process vegetation. It has a 200 MPH tip speed at up to 1100 RPM.

• The Bad Ax uses a recutter bar along with stationary counter teeth to hold material in place while it is being mulched. This unique design allows the Bad Ax to cut material into finer particles for faster decomposition and produce a nicer looking end product. It also helps avoid log jams in the chamber, which can be extremely difficult to remove in competitive units.

• Quadco teeth are attached to the mulching disc using bolt-on mounts. These make the teeth easy to rotate, replace and remove while on the jobsite. Additionally, the bolt-on mounts can be replaced in the field without the need for cutting, welding or rebalancing the rotor.
